About this site
Do we have tons of time? Yes and no. Literally, we all have the same 24 hours to the day. However, people often do not enjoy whole blocks of time. Take Jim for instance. Everyday, he drives from his home to his work on ‘autopilot’. He does not really pay attention to what he can see around him or to what he hears on the radio. After an hour, when he reaches the building where he works, and starts up the computer on his desk he ‘wakes up’, his conscious day begins. During the commute he was in a way dreaming, or not really enjoying the now.
Suppose that Jim drives to his work mindfully, taking the time for every aspect, like cleaning the windshield or looking up another station on his car radio? The difference would be that Jim then has two more hours in a day that he is truly alive, and enjoying it!
Of course, there are other methods to get more time in a day, like doing things more effectively, planning your week and watching less television. Whenever I come across ways to enhance productivity, memory or relieving stress, I will mention them on TonsofTime.com.
